Had-y-field

The original Friend of a Friend’s house, fully renovated with three generations of Rhosneigr beach life in mind, host to a great many friends, families and returning guests.

Had-y-field is a four-bedroom, four-bathroom house sleeping up to 11, moments from both beaches and the village. At its heart is a big, social, open-plan kitchen, dining and living space that opens straight onto the garden, with sea views from the coffee corner and plenty of room to settle in after a day at the beach.

There’s a separate utility and beach shower room for sandy people, sandy kit and sandy paws. Plus a dog’s bedroom under the stairs (yes, really), which seems to be a particular hit with our returning pooches.

Downstairs, there are two double bedrooms. The ‘Pray for Surf’ king-size room has its own en-suite, while the second can be set up as a double or twin, depending on who’s coming along, with the main bathroom just across the hall. And, because we get asked a lot, yes, it has a bath!

Upstairs, the sea-view king has its own en-suite and, we think, the best sunset view in the house. Across the landing is the dorm, sleeping five across three singles and a double, with its own en-suite too.

It’s a house made to be social, but with enough bedrooms, bathrooms and little corners for everyone to find their own space.
